Upcoming Events

Hello Everyone!
We are all back together after 2 weeks vacationing in various places around the country. Kevin, Joseph and I went to Texas, Oklahoma, and North and South Carolina. It was great to see Kevin's parents- they loved meeting baby Joe. They blessed us so much, I thank God for that time we had together. We also saw Kevin's grandmother, she is a dear woman, funny, vibrant and full of faith.

On Friday, Brian officially joined Cross Culture ministry. Whoo Hoo! We had a little ceremony. Kevin made fresh grape juice using the Vita-Mix his parents gave us. And we had communion. Friday night at Cross Culture was a powerful time of emotional healing.

This coming Friday, August 10th, we will be taking it on the road to "The Father's Love" conference at Living Hope Church in Lynnwood. It is a ministry of Barry and Ruth Johnson. It starts at 6:30 and it is free. You can check out Ruth and Barry Johnson's website at www.lighthouse-of-hope.org

The following week, August 17th, we will be back at our house with guest speakers, missionaries visiting from Tahiti. It should be awesome!

Jill is leaving on her mission

Hannah and I just got off the phone with Jill. Jill and Diya will leave the YWAM base in the morning to go on their mission to southern Taiwan. Diya is very excited. They will be performing skits and doing street evangelism. Wow! Please pray for their safety and God's favor among the people and unity on their team. They will be in southern Taiwan for 3 weeks, then to the main land for 5 weeks.

An update about Jill's mom:
"just talked to mom for the first time since her choosing the Lord. praise God for the time of sharing with her. her choosing Jesus is deliberate and sure."

Jill's great story!

God has been doing great things for my parents' salvation in Him...
please pray with me and guard it for my parents...

my mom took a step of faith and said her sinner prayer last week, she was at a very critically desperate place in her life...we were on the phone and i guided her for the prayer.

it was a huge step. please pray for further steps in all that God has for her...she said her words of prayer and still i know there is more in her heart God wants to do.
she was in the dark deep....please pray for her.

my dad was willing today and more open after i told him something very personal to him that God showed me in class today...i believed God ministered to him while i talked about it on the phone...later in the afternoon dad had a dream of meeting Jesus. he phoned me tonight which is rare for he doesn't usually phone me the same day i talked to him...obviously he was excited and wanted to talk...

he told me he saw Jesus in his dream and He was good looking and gave him a sense of compassion...he thought Jesus was indeed different than what he used to think or hear about...i will get more detail of his experience...dad talked faintly for also the phone connection wasn't great for us tonight...but he was encouraged and wanted to know more of him...so he prayed( with me as a guide still)that he opens the door of his heart for Jesus to come in and be Jesus and show more who He is to dad.

i understand there shall be an declaration of repentance in the sinner prayer...but it shall come to pass...God has His perfect way perfect timing...i trust dad to Him.

you must know how huge this is!!!
for my dad!! for me and for Father!!! and pray for more for God delights in multiplication!!!

Honeymoon with God

This summer all the house mates are taking 3 months off of work to do kind of an unpaid ministry internship. It's been two weeks so far and it is really fun. We have been spending time together, eating, praying and talking about all sorts of things. Later on I think we will do more things outside of our house, but it has been good to have this transition time. It has been exciting to see God answer our prayers!
This week one of our house mates announced to her parents that she wanted to get married and she wasn't sure if her parents would agree. Part of the reason was because she and her fiance aren't working in order to do ministry. But her father said basically, "If I was just basing this on human wisdom, I would say "no". But because of God I agree and I give you my blessing."
Another friend found out that she is pregnant, even though she is engaged to be married to someone else. She was going to have an abortion to hide it from her fiance. But yesterday she felt God telling her to confess to her fiance. He was crying, but he forgave her and told her to keep the baby and they will still get married!
Another friend had grown up in a religion that used fear to keep people obedient. When she left that religion, her family told her that God would reject her. She is a Christian now, and she knows that God is loving, but she still had a hard time believing that God wouldn't reject her. On Monday she was praying and she had a vision of God. She could see God and Jesus standing before her, even with her eyes open! She said that God had a white beard and twinkling eyes and he looked at her very kindly. She asked God if he rejected her and he shook his head "No." She kept asking him questions and he answered all of them. She was deeply touched and crying a lot as she told me. She knows that a deep place in her heart has been healed.
It was really awesome. We are believing for God to provide finances for us to continue this summer internship. I am excited to see what happens!

Going out to eat Taiwanese breakfast

My mom's back was healed!

This is the testimony that my mom shared at her church in Oregon.

Adrienne’s Back Healing, May 1, 2007

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, “anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:14-16

Some of you know and have been praying for my lower back since my car accident last August 31st. I was broadsided by an SUV with such force that it moved the chassis two inches, totaling the car. I sustained a concussion and trauma to my neck, shoulder and lower back. I had further symptoms of numbness in the fingers of my left hand, sciatic nerve pain radiating down my right leg and pain radiating from my right shoulder down my right arm. In short I hurt every minute, every day for almost one year.

I am describing my injuries not to elicit sympathy as I know many people, some amongst this congregation, have lived for years with chronic pain and are fighting courageous battles even now. I am describing my injuries so that we may give full praise with thankful hearts to the powerful, loving, healing God we serve.

I believe in miracles! In a living Father God who wants to heal our physical illnesses and injuries but more so any sickness that dwells within our souls, be it bitterness, envy, addiction, or moral transgressions or the sorrows of loneliness and despair. Jesus commanded against illness and injury with authority and power and he has given us this power. He gave his disciples power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Matthew 10 verse 1. Again in Matthew 10:8 he commanded them to “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Just before Jesus ascended into heaven he told his disciples “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father: John 14:12. Can you believe that? Kind of hard to get your head around isn’t it, and yet he said it and I believe it!

Last week my husband Hans and I spend three wonderful days visiting our daughter Amy, son-in-law Kevin and our lovely five month old grandson Joseph Owen Green.

Kevin and Amy’s passion is to live totally surrendered and trusting lives to God seeking his will and living in obedience. They live in what they see as a missional house with other young Christians and regularly invite those seeking Christ into their home; always graciously serving home cooked meals. Their ministry is one of teaching but with kindness and acceptance and most of all patience as they wait upon the touch of God’s Holy Spirit in the hearts of these seekers. God has led them to lead several souls to Jesus and helping them grow through discipleship. Every Friday night they have a prayer and praise service in their house which begins at 7:00 pm and lasts anywhere from three to four hours. During this time they share and fellowship, have a time of quiet worship, and play musical instruments while singing praises to God.

God has also used their outreach and prayer to heal several people, most recently Sarah who has suffered for the last five years with chronic fatigue syndrome and Erica who is now twenty one years old and has had extreme scoliosis since her early teens.

Kevin and Amy asked if I would like to have prayer for my back to be healed. I said an ecstatic YES! I prepared myself by opening my mind and heart to the reality that miracles happen every day and if God wanted to heal my injuries I was ready and willing to accept this healing. Kevin, Amy, Sarah, Erica and Hannah laid hands on me, prayed fervently and spoke in tongues. As they prayed I could hear little popping and clicking sounds in my neck. When they finished that ask me how my back felt—did I feel any pain, I said, “no, not really”. We all started laughing and I got up and said, ‘’ watch this” as I bent down to touch the ground without severe stiffness and pain which I had since last August. Now every time I bend down to unload the dishwasher, cut a bouquet from the garden or reach for the newspaper on the porch I say, “Thank you God!”

I am still praying for God to heal the numbness in my left hand and the pain in my lower spine but I accept with immense gratitude my new range of motion, freedom from neck and shoulder pain or sciatic pain. It says in the bible that adversity builds our faith and patience and keeps us walking closer to God—I do not fully understand this healing experience but I accept it as God’s gift to me and his will for my life.

Perhaps the most precious gift God has given me through this healing is the profound effect it has produced on my husband. After the healing he asked my three different times if my back was still okay – I said yes! Then when we got home a Christian woman friend of mine came by to visit and the first thing my husband said was “Did Adrienne tell you God healed her back?” My husband of 36 years has always professed not to believe in God – I see his reaction as an even greater miracle than my healing!

I appreciate your willingness to listen to my healing testimony and know you join me in giving all the praise to our wonderful, powerful, ever present and loving Father God.

Yours in Christ, Adrienne
